Timeline of Medicalis

2342 SRT: Great Jongo II’s computer systems crash, allowing their slaves, the Cyberians, to escape. The Cyberians commandeer a ship and sail eastwards to create their own country.

2344 SRT: The refugees, now down to 4242 people, find a large bushland island filled with a rare species of koala called a drop bear due to their hunting habits. The drop bears do not attack them, and the people forma city called Hospitalis and the nation of Medicalis. The leaders of the people, ten in number, become the first High Council of Medicalis.

2442 SRT: A group of ten people, in the running to become High Councillors, swear to cure the common cold. They are elected, and begin working towards their goal. When their term in office ends, the next council find that they will never be able to go back on this promise without destroying the nation, and so are forced to continue the work.

2521 SRT: Medicalis is discovered by a Samarnian explorer, Jibbo Gorden II, whose team is eaten by drop bears. He survives and carries word of a dangerous nation back to Samarnia.

2531 SRT: A Medicalian, Grindo Losba, finds a half chewed map in a drop bear’s nest. He follows it and ends up in Samarnia, where by a strange coincidence he meets the now deranged Jibbo Gorden II, and tells him all about drop bears. This terrifies the explorer, because drop bears are vicious and dangerous creatures, though the Medicalians do not think they are such since drop bears never attack them.

2534 SRT: Grindo brings word back to Medicalis about the outside world. Medicalis joins the UN, and requests that they become delegate of The Second Realms. Several nations, worried that Medicalis will set the drop bears on them, agree, and Medicalis is made the UN delegate of The Second Realms.

2750 SRT: The High Council learn that the other nations are afraid of drop bears, and explain that drop bears do not work for them. The other nations, free of this fear, continue to allow Medicalis to be the UN delegate as a result of the work they have done. Medicalis begins to trade with other nations.

3000-10 SRT: A consortium of scientists from different countries in The Second Realms, including several representatives of Medicalis, learns that time has been running backwards for the past 10 years.

3000-42 SRT: Medicalis is invaded by Great Jongo II, but never realise it as all of Great Jongo’s troops are eaten by drop bears and each other before reaching any of Medicalis' cities.
